CERN Technical Student Program 2024, Switzerland (Fully Funded)

Applications are currently being accepted for the CERN Technical Student Program 2024 in Switzerland. If you are an undergraduate or master’s student pursuing studies in STEM-related fields, the CERN Technical Student Program is an unparalleled internship opportunity. Annually, the selection panel chooses 80 students to participate in this fully funded internship. Notably, IELTS is not a requirement for application. CERN generously covers all associated expenses, including travel, accommodation, stipend, visa assistance, and a family allowance. Financial Benefits

CERN extends the following financial benefits to participants in the Technical Student Program:

• A contract spanning 4 to 12 months.
• A monthly allowance of 3407 Swiss Francs (net of tax).
• Travel allowance covering Economy Class Air Tickets.
• Depending on individual circumstances, a supplement for married participants and/or those with children.
• Inclusion in the Health Insurance Scheme.
• 2.5 days of paid leave per month.

Selection Timeline

A panel of CERN experts convenes three times a year in February, June, and October. During each session, approximately 80 students are typically chosen to participate in the program.

Eligibility Criteria: 

To qualify for the CERN Technical Student Program, applicants must meet the following criteria:

• Nationality from a CERN Member or Associate Member State.
• Completion of at least 18 months of undergraduate studies (Bachelor’s or Master’s).
• Full-time student status must be maintained throughout the internship at CERN.
• Proficiency in both English and French is required.
• No proof of an English Language Test is necessary.
